Business Owners Working Together
The U DIstrict Block Watch is a program based on the principle that neighbors working together are the first and best line of defense against crime. The Block Watch organizes and extends the information most businesses share on an informal basis with their closest neighbors and communicates this information throughout the district.
Block Watch provides a district map and access to a private online tool for monitoring and reporting. A successful Block Watch requires two commitments:
1. A commitment to be concerned about your neighbor’s property and well-being as well as your own.
2. A commitment to report suspicious activity and take action by alerting your neighbors and when necessary, calling 9-1-1.
