UDP Unveils New Tables at 43rd Street Outdoor Dining Plaza

Earlier this summer, The U District Partnership collaborated with JumpShip Mfg to design the beautiful new tables you can see on NE 43rd Street. These durable light blue tables replace the well-loved picnic tables that served us well for the past three years. Custom branding showcases the neighborhood logo with a powder-coated treatment to match the blue of nearby U District Station entrance.

As the previous picnic tables, installed during the pandemic, began to reach the end of their usable life, this project allowed the team to think creatively about a design that would improve use and allow for faster maintenance turnaround by the UDP Clean Team. Learn more in the video above!
