U District Night Blossoms on the UW Quad

For one unforgettable evening this spring, the UW Quad’s iconic cherry trees took on a whole new glow during the 5th Annual U District Cherry Blossom Festival. On Saturday, March 21, The U District Partnership transformed the beloved blossom-viewing experience with over 200 pink up-lights, illuminating all 29 Yoshino cherry trees in a soft pink radiance after dark.

It was the first time the Quad’s cherry blossoms had ever been lit up at night, and the result was pure magic. Thank you to AT Productions for bringing this vision to life and helping us showcase the beauty of the bloom in an entirely new way.
