UDP Launches Call for Artists for U District Mobility Hubs
January 23, 2026
Are you a local artist with a love for transit and ideas for how to make waiting for a bus more joyful? The U District Partnership, in collaboration with Seattle Department of Transportation and their Community and Mobility Hubs Program, is offering up to $15,000 for public art and placemaking interventions that improve how people experience transit in the U District.
As a transit hub with one of the highest riderships in the City, the U District Station serves as a gateway to campus, small businesses, and the broader community–and this is why it has been chosen as a priority pilot location for this program.
The deadline for artist proposals is March 15.
